Compensation: $80K – $300K OTE | Negotiable based on experience and book of business

OVERVIEW
We are partnered with a growing insurance and advisory firm that is seeking a Benefits Consultant to drive new business growth while managing and retaining client relationships. This role serves as a strategic advisor to clients, overseeing benefit program planning, renewals, employee education, and ongoing service support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop new business opportunities through networking, relationship building, and consultative sales efforts.
- Manage the full client lifecycle, including renewals, service delivery, and ongoing support.
- Lead client meetings related to renewals, claims analysis, benchmarking, and open enrollment.
- Provide strategic guidance on employee benefits programs and recommend tailored solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carrier partners, and internal teams.
- Resolve client issues promptly through phone, email, and in-person communication.
- Oversee and support internal team members to ensure high-quality client service.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and enhancements within existing benefit programs.
- Stay informed on industry trends, compliance updates, and emerging benefit solutions.
- Support employee education initiatives and coordinate key client deliverables and enrollment timelines.
REQUIREMENTS

Associate Degree in Business Administration, HR, Marketing, or similar field.

2+ years of Employee Benefits Insurance Sales experience.
- Active Virginia Life & Health Insurance License.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits, insurance products, and applicable regulations.
- Ability to analyze client needs and recommend tailored insurance solutions.
- Proven ability to develop client relationships and execute successful sales strategies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ongoing industry education.

Candidates with 5+ years of experience and an established book of business may be considered for a Senior position.
