We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced candidate as the Head of FP&A with a passion for building a business. They will be a key financial expert who owns the entire spectrum of Financial Analysis, Reporting, and Budget Management duties for all revenue streams in live events, sponsorships, and subscription services.
This company operates with urgency, curiosity, and low ego. Teams move quickly, think deeply, and care about doing meaningful work that changes how journalism functions on a global scale. This is an opportunity to step into a critical seat during a moment of growth – working alongside sharp C-Suite leaders, contributing directly to how the organization expands.
The ideal candidate thrives in startup environments, is familiar with PE-backed structure, enjoys building the financial infrastructure of a business, and is a tech-savvy individual who is excited by innovative ways to improve Financial Operations processes. This will be an excellent opportunity for a rising-star Junior FP&A Director or Sr. FP&A Manager from the SaaS, Digital Media, or News & Journalism industry to take the next step into a senior-level director role with strong growth opportunities.

- Track and analyze business unit economics across multiple revenue lines, including revenue drivers, cost structures, and margins, and present actionable insights for leadership.
Strategic & Ad Hoc Analysis:
- Serve as the finance lead on strategic initiatives, new revenue opportunities, market expansions, headcount planning, and capital allocation decisions.
- Prepare investor and executive financials, including performance summaries, scenario analyses, and long-range plans.
- Collaborate with the Revenue Team to model pipeline conversion, deal economics, and revenue pacing.
Process Improvement & Financial Systems:
- Review, analyze, and improve upon all FP&A processes, tools, and systems, including financial planning software, ERP integration, and reporting automation.
- Establish financial controls and plan best practices appropriate for a high-growth company in media and journalism.
